What should I prepare before the project starts?
We show you a draft of the site within 5 working days of receiving your materials — so the more of the things below you gather at the start, the sooner you'll see the first version. Not everything has to be ready right away; some of it can follow along the way.
Materials for the site itself
First, what we'll build the site from:
- Your logo — ideally in good quality (e.g. a PNG or SVG file)
- Text about your business — what you do, for whom, and what sets you apart; this is what goes on the site, so the closer it is to final, the better
- Photos — of your practice, your team, your work; if you don't have them yet, we'll start with placeholders and swap them out later
- Examples of sites you like — even one or two links help us understand your taste
There's one thing about the content worth knowing up front: we don't write it for you. What we do prepare is a template for the site — its structure: which sections it has, where the heading sits, how much room there is for a service description — and you have full say over that layout. What the site says and how it looks is always your decision in the end, and with a content-panel package you can change it yourself after launch too. The same goes for a second language version: you or your translator prepare the translations. If you need copy written from scratch for search engines, that's a job for a marketing agency — more in Working with an SEO or marketing agency.
Documents from your lawyer
Your terms and privacy policy are prepared by your lawyer — we don't write or review those documents. Send us the finished texts and we'll add them to the site before launch. If your package includes the panel, you'll update them yourself later; see How to update your terms and privacy policy.
Domain, hosting and email
If you already have a domain, give us access to it. If not, in the Professional and Expert packages (or with the "Domain and hosting setup" add-on) we'll buy one for you — in your name and at the registrar's price. In Business Card you set up the domain and hosting yourself, following Domain and hosting, step by step.
Does your package include email on your own domain (Expert, or as an add-on)? Prepare a list of the addresses you want, for example contact@ and bookings@, and a payment card for the email provider's subscription. Details: Email on your own domain.
Integrations and the panel
If the site is going to connect with a tool you already use — Booksy, ZnanyLekarz or your Google Business Profile — we'll need access to your existing account, or at least a link to your profile. And if your package includes the content panel, think about who else besides you will work in it, and have their email addresses ready so we can send the invitations straight away.
Got most of this list together? Right before launch, go through the pre-launch checklist as well.
