How do I add a news item

You'll only need this guide if your site has a news section — not every site does. If you don't see a "News Item" (Aktualność) entry in the panel menu, feel free to skip it.

News items are a quicker, simpler format than a blog post — good for short announcements like changed opening hours over the holidays, time off, attending an industry conference or a new certification. No need for a full-length article.

All news items appear one below another on the "Aktualności" (News) page, newest first. A single news item has no page of its own and no SEO tab — it's a short entry on a shared list, nothing more.

Title and date​

"Title" (Tytuł) and "Date" (Data) are both required fields. The date shows above the title and sets the order on the list.

Just like blog posts, you can prepare an announcement in advance. A news item dated in the future can be published straight away, and it will appear on the site automatically on the morning of that day, at about 6:00 Polish time. Until then it isn't visible on the list. Just remember to click Publish (Publikuj) — a draft will never appear.

Description​

"Description" (Opis) is a short text, usually a few sentences. It's a plain text field, with no bold, headings or lists — a concise piece of information, not an article. The field is optional, so for a very short announcement the title alone is enough.

If the item should point somewhere else — an event page, an article in the local press, a sign-up form — paste the full address into the "External link" field (Link zewnętrzny). A "Czytaj więcej →" (Read more →) link then appears under the description and opens that address in a new tab, so visitors don't lose sight of your site. If the announcement is complete on its own, leave the field empty and there'll be no link.

News items deliberately have no photo or rich content — they're the fastest way to announce something briefly, with no extra steps.
