How do I update my contact details

Your address, phone number and opening hours are what visitors reach for first — often before they read anything else on the site. So it's worth keeping them up to date, especially since this is one of those sections that's easy to forget during seasonal changes.

You edit all of it in a single document: Contact Details (Dane kontaktowe). None of the fields here is required, and an empty field simply doesn't show up on the site.

What shows up where

Not all of this information ends up in the same places. The address and opening hours are visible only on the Contact page. The phone number and email address appear on the Contact page and also in the footer, on every page — as clickable links that start a call or a new email straight away.

Address, phone number, email address

These three fields — Address (Adres), Phone number (Numer telefonu) and Email address (Adres e-mail) — are plain text; type them exactly as you want them displayed. The address can run over several lines if your location needs it (unit number, floor, entrance from the courtyard), and the site keeps those line breaks.

One thing surprises a lot of clients: changing the "Email address" field does not change the inbox that contact-form messages go to. This field only decides which address visitors see. The form's recipient address is set separately, outside the panel — we explain how to change it in where do contact form messages go.

The map and your exact location

The Google map on the Contact page only appears if we've switched it on for your site. If you don't see one and would like it, let us know.

By default, the map finds your location from the text in the Address field. If the pin lands in the middle of the street rather than at your door, you can enter exact coordinates in the "Latitude" (Szerokość geograficzna) and "Longitude" (Długość geograficzna) fields. These two only work as a pair: fill in one, and the panel will flag an error and won't let you publish until you fill in the other. The easiest way to get coordinates is from Google Maps — right-click your entrance, and the first item in the menu is two numbers, e.g. 52.40692, 16.92993. The first is latitude, the second longitude.

Opening hours

Opening hours (Godziny otwarcia) are a list of rows. In each row you fill in two required fields: "Days" (Dni), e.g. "Pon-Pt", and "Hours" (Godziny), e.g. "9:00-17:00" or "Zamknięte" (closed). A row with one empty field can't be published. You can add, remove and reorder rows freely, so if you only work one Saturday a month, you can describe that in a single row along the lines of "Sob" and "every other, 9:00-13:00".

This is a good place to check before public holidays and long weekends — May Day, All Saints' Day, the Christmas and New Year break. Nothing annoys a client more than turning up to a locked door when the site says you're "open". After every change, remember to publish — otherwise the new hours will stay in draft only (how to save and publish).

SEO

Contact Details also has its own SEO tab, which applies to the Contact page. We describe it in how to fill in the SEO tab.
