How do I change my company name, logo, and social media
We're starting a new set of guides — this time going in order, document by document, the way they're arranged in the menu on the left of your panel. If you don't yet know your way around the panel at all, take a look at navigating the panel first — here we'll assume you've already been there.
The first item in the menu, Site Settings (Ustawienia witryny), differs from the rest in that it covers the whole site at once rather than a single page. Your company name, logo, browser icon and social media links show up in many places at the same time. Once you publish, the change lands everywhere in one go — after about two minutes, like every publish (why it takes a moment).
This is a single document for the whole site — there's no list to browse and no button to add a new entry. You can read more about the difference between a single document and a list of entries in one page, or a list of entries?.
Company name
"Company name" (Nazwa firmy) is the only required field in this document — without it, the panel won't let you publish. The site uses it in several places: in the footer, next to the © sign, in the site header (if you don't have a logo) and in the browser-tab title, where it's added after the page title, e.g. "About us | Gabinet Kowalska".
Under the name in the footer there's also a short sentence about your business. That sentence isn't in the panel — we set it on our side, so if you'd like it changed, just drop us a line.
Logo
The logo appears in the top left corner of the header, on every page, and links back to the homepage. The site shows it 40 pixels tall, so a horizontal logo on a transparent background (PNG or SVG) works best. A tall, square logo ends up very small at that height.
If you leave this field empty, the header simply shows your Company name as text. The logo doesn't appear in the footer — that always shows the Company name as text. Uploading works just like with any other photo (how to upload and crop photos).
Favicon — the icon on the browser tab
The favicon is the tiny icon next to your page title on the browser tab. The same image also becomes the icon when someone adds your site to their phone's home screen. Upload a square image in PNG or SVG, ideally at least 180 × 180 pixels. If the file isn't square, the site will crop it to a square from the centre.
A simple symbol works best: just your company's initials or a simplified version of your logo, without fine details that would get lost at that tiny size anyway. As long as the field is empty, the site uses the default icon we set up at launch.
Social media links
Links to your profiles appear only in the footer, in the "Follow us" (Obserwuj nas) column, and open in a new tab. They're not in the site header. If the list is empty, the whole column simply disappears.
Each entry in this list (Linki do mediów społecznościowych) has two required fields. In "Platform" (Platforma) you pick one of these values from a list: facebook, instagram, linkedin, twitter, youtube or tiktok. On the site they show up as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter / X, YouTube and TikTok. In "URL" (Adres URL) you paste the full address of your profile, including the https:// at the start — for example https://www.instagram.com/gabinet.kowalska. A bare profile name, or an address without https://, won't pass the panel's check.
You can add as many entries as you need, and their order in the panel is their order in the footer. Remove links that are no longer current, for example after closing a profile on a given platform.
The SEO tab
Site Settings has an SEO tab too, but a different one from the other documents: every field here is a "default" that acts as a fallback for pages without their own values. There's also a Hide site from search engines (Ukryj witrynę przed wyszukiwarkami) switch, which hides the entire site from Google at once — don't touch it on a live site. We go into the details in how to fill in the SEO tab.
Once your name, logo and social media are in place, it's time to look at what every visitor sees first — see how to edit your homepage.
